McCarter Theatre Center is bringing its highly sought-after summer camp to The Pennington School! This exciting partnership allows young performers to create, collaborate, and take center stage in McCarter's top-quality theater programs—available this summer in both Princeton and Pennington.
Ages 7-10: Create, Perform, and Shine!

Campers will build, rehearse, and perform their own original play—completely from scratch! Guided by expert teaching artists, they’ll collaboratively develop characters, craft dialogue, and bring an original story to life.
Beyond the stage, campers will gain valuable life skills:
Confidence Building – Seeing their ideas celebrated on stage.
Public Speaking – Learning to express themselves clearly and passionately.
Creative Problem-Solving – Collaborating to bring ideas to life.
Friendship & Fun – Building connections and lasting memories.
It’s the perfect mix of creativity, skill-building, and fun!
Ages 10-13: Take the Stage! Acting & Improv Adventure
Dates: August 4-8 (Monday-Friday, 9 AM – 3 PM)
Cost: $600
Designed for passionate young performers ages 10-13, this one-week intensive offers an in-depth exploration of the actor’s craft. Campers will develop their skills in scene study, improvisation, character development, and artistic decision-making, all while refining their stage presence and ensemble work.
With a balance of rigorous training and creative play, this program welcomes students of all experience levels, providing a dynamic and supportive environment where they can build confidence, collaborate, and grow as performers.
The week culminates in a showcase performance for invited guests, where campers bring their work to life and take center stage!
