The McCarter Gala is our Theatre’s most significant and highly anticipated annual fundraising event. Featuring a Performance by André De Shields

The Gala features an intimate one-night-only cabaret performance by André De Shields—the Tony, Emmy, and GRAMMY award-winning Broadway icon. With a career spanning over five decades, De Shields has captivated audiences in Hadestown, The Wiz, and Ain’t Misbehavin’. His dynamic presence and legendary talent will make this a night to remember.

The 2025 McCarter Award will be presented to legendary Broadway producer and visionary supporter, Roger S. Berlind (in memoriam) for his indelible impact on McCarter, our community, and the region.
